Senators blow past Experience Academy, 109-57

MORRISTOWN, TN – Walters State opened up the 2025 portion of their schedule on Friday evening with triple digits, cruising to a 109-57 win over Experience Academy.

With the victory, the Senators improved to 7-6 overall.

Aiden Goins led the way for Walters State with 29 points, while Malaki Brooks had 15 points. The others in double figures for the Senators were Da'Mori Lytch with 14 points and Carter Metz with 12 points.

Other scorers for Walters State were Elijah Clinton with nine points, Stevlen Morris with nine points, Adam Kadoura with seven points, Anthony Davis Jr. with four points, Alex Garcia with four points, Charvez Ambrose with three points and Nathan Beasley with three points.  

Goins got going early for the Senators in the game, scoring 15 points in the opening 20 minutes including three 3-pointers. Brooks was also automatic in the first half, drilling three treys and scoring 13 points, while Lytch had 11 points and Morris and Metz had seven points each. 

In the second half, Goins scored 14 more points to cap off his evening. Kadoura and Clinton each added seven points in the final 20 minutes, and Metz hit a three and had five points.

Walters State will jump back into conference play on Wednesday, January 8, traveling to take on Pellissippi State. Tip is set for 7:30 pm.
