MORRISTOWN, TN – For the second straight season, the Walters State softball team is headed to the NJCAA DI Softball World Series in Oxford, AL.
On Tuesday, the Lady Senators were announced as one of four at-large bids to receive entry into the World Series. It's the fifth time in program history Walters State has made the World Series.
The Lady Senators will be the No.10 seed in the World Series and will open up play on Monday, May 20, against No. 7 Galveston at 5 p.m. CT. The game will be played on field two.
Walters State enters the World Series with a record of 43-9. The Lady Senators were Co-TCCAA Regular Season Champions and finished ranked No. 8 in the country. Last season, Walters State finished sixth at the World Series.
