CHAPEL HILL, NC – This past weekend, the Walters cycling team competed in its second collegiate race of the year, held at the University of North Carolina. 

This is the inaugural season for the Walters State cycling team, led by coach Brian Lassiter. 

Hayden Sinnamon, who raced his first race last weekend at Piedmont University, competed for the Senators.  \Sinnamon raced against a number of well-known schools including Auburn, the United States Naval Academy, Appalachian State, King University, Lees-McRae, Maryland, UNC, Virginia, Wake Forest, Warren Wilson, NC State, Kennesaw State and Virginia Tech.  

"His effort and performance this week far surpassed his race last week, and we see big things ahead for Hayden," Lassiter said. 

Sinnamon's next race is this upcoming weekend at Clemson University, also the Conference Championships, where he'll be racing in the Criterium, the Time Trial and the Road Race.
