Lady Senators finish No. 11 in 2024-25 WBCA Academic Top 25 for two-year programs
ATLANTA, GA – It was a successful year on and off the court for the Walters State women's basketball program during the 2024-25 school year.
On the court, Walters State made the NJCAA DI National Tournament and finished in the Top 25. Off the court, the Lady Senators were rewarded for their success on Tuesday by being named No. 11 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 for two-year programs.
"I am so proud of this team for being named to the WBCA Academic Top 25 Honor Roll while also finishing as a top 25 team on the court," Walters State coach Jasmin Coleman said. "It's a blessing to lead a group of young women who honor their purpose with excellence in both the classroom and on the floor. As we move forward, we will continue to direct these blessings with humility and hard work. We'll continue to grow, serve and represent our program with faith and excellence.
As a team, the Lady Senators finished with a 3.307 GPA. Walters State had two student-athletes with 4.0's, Raegan Starks and Morgan Williams, two more with GPA's 3.5 or higher, Anaya Mulholland-Natt and Nyjah Gibbs, and three more with a GPA between 3.0-3.49, Alexis Hood, Ellie Linx and Terryauna Griffin.
