
CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – No. 13 Walters State ran their win streak to eight matches on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Lindsey Wilson JV 3-2 (25-15, 25-21, 22-25, 22-25, 15-11) and Campbellsville University JV 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-17).
With the two victories, the Lady Senators improved to 8-1 on the season.
In the win over Lindsey Wilson JV to open up the day, Lauren Mims had four aces to go along with 14 digs and seven kills while Payton Brown had 16 digs and two aces. Other contributors were Rylee Haynie with seven blocks and eight kills, Catherine Sweeney with seven blocks and five kills, Veda Barton with 12 kills and five blocks and Annah Cate Hyatt with 19 assists and five digs.
Against Campbellsville University JV, Finley Surber and Sweeney each had 10 kills. Surber had two blocks as well, while Sweeney had two aces. Other contributors were Sydney Bjornstad with 10 digs and two aces, Brown with eight digs and three aces, Alyssa Campbell with four blocks and six kills, Mykanna McMahon with five digs and two aces, Olivia Brown with 16 assists and Emma Miller with 12 assists.

Walters State will be off until next Tuesday, September 17, when they open up conference play at Pellissippi State. The match is set for 6:30 p.m.
