TULLAHOMA, TN – Walters State bounced back in a big way on Wednesday evening, taking down Motlow State 75-58.

It was a back-and-forth start to the game as Motlow led 14-9 six minutes in. However, Walters State took control from there as Ty Hurst converted an and-one and De'Marius Boyd hit a 3-pointer to give the Senators the lead.

The run continued after that as Destin Barker made a layup and Mpoyi scored four straight. The Bucks cut it to three, but Mpoyi hit a layup to stop the bleeding. The Senators ended the half strong from there and led by 10 at the break, 40-30.

In the first half, Mpoyi scored all 10 of his points while Boyd had eight and Hurst had seven.

After a shaky first couple minutes of the second half, the Senators once again took control and led by 18 after a Jerome layup. Motlow mounted one last comeback, cutting it to eight, but Walters State was there to answer as Hurst made a layup and Cooper made a layup to push the lead back to double digits.
