Senators offense continues to shine in 115-53 win over Bryan College JV

DAYTON, TN – All 12 players scored on Monday evening for Walters State, with six in double figures, as the Senators took a 115-53 win over Bryan College JV.

 

With the win, Walters State improved to 6-0 on the season. 

 

Jamar Livingston led the way for Walters State in the game with 18 points, while Ramondo Battle had 15 points and seven rebounds. JR Jacobs had six points and dished out 12 assists. 

 

Other contributors for the Senators included Micah Simpson with 11 points and five assists, Greg Moore with 11 points and five rebounds, Charvez Ambrose with 11 points, Jaylon Taylor with 10 points and five rebounds, Chi Shannon with eight points and four rebounds, Jaylen Wharton with eight points and four rebounds, Jair Horton with seven points and four rebounds, Malachi Hale with six points and six rebounds and Carter Metz with four points and five assists. 

 

As a team, the Senators shot 57% from the field and assisted on 32 of 47 made shots. Walters State had 48 rebounds and forced 23 turnovers. The Senators held Bryan College to just 26% from the field. 

 

The Senators are now averaging 108 points per game on 53.5% shooting for the season, while holding teams to 58.2 points per game on 30.5% shooting.

 

Walters State came out from the start and set the tone, leading 55-18 at the break. Battle had 10 points in the first 20 minutes, while Livingston and Ambrose had six. Walters State shot 50% from the field in the opening half. 

 

In the second half, the Walters State offense poured in 60 more points as they cruised to the win. Livingston had 11 points in the final 20 minutes on 4-5 shooting, while Wharton had seven. Walters State shot almost 66% from the field and assisted on 18 of 23 made shots.

Walters State will be back in action next Wednesday, November 29, at home against Cleveland State. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
