RICHMOND, KY – Walters State finished in second-place at the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
The Senators shot a 310 in Sunday's second round, finishing the tournament at 37-over. Murray State College won the tournament at 30-over.
Individually, Nick Talley finished in a tie for third-place at three-over. Talley shot a three-over, 73, in round two, with birdies on the first and 16th holes.
Along with Talley, Bowen Brantley finished in a tie for 13th-place at 11-over. Brantley shot an eight-over, 78, on Sunday.
Other golfers for Walters State were Sloan Brooks (T16), Ian Kinsey (T40) and Jonas Rayfield (63). Brooks finished Sunday's round at seven-over, 77, with back-to-back-to-back birdies on holes seven, eight and nine. Brooks finished the tournament at 12-over.
Meanwhile, Kinsey finished the tournament at 18-over after shooting a 19-over, 89, on Sunday. Lastly, Rayfield shot a 12-over, 82, on Sunday with a birdie on hole 17. He finished the tournament at 30-over.
Playing as an individual, Jack Leach finished in 58th-place at 24-over. On Sunday, Leach shot an eight-over, 78.
