Walters State sees improvement in Tusculum Open

GREENEVILLE, TN -- Walters State finished in fifth place in the men's race and third place in the women's race on Friday afternoon and saw loads of improvement in just their second race of the season.  

The men's team was led by Ryan Sadlon, who finished in 24th place with a time of 18:20. It was Sadlon's first race of the season.  

Alexander LeBlanc was the second Senator to finish, coming in 29th place with a time of 19:19 while Kenneth Manning was right behind him in 30th with a time of 19:27. 

A trio of Senators finished out the race for Walters State as Christopher Gaby (20:12), Nicholas Noble (20:17) and Mitchell Korody (21:01) finishing in places 32-34.  

On the women's side, it was Lily Dodson who led the charge for the second race in-a-row. Dodson came in 11th place with a time of 23:32 while teammate Amelia Weeks came in 13th with a time of 24:06.  

Along with those two, Nadia Lopez finished in 17th place with a time of 24:55 and Ashley Soto Perez came in 18th with a time of 25:22. 

Rounding out the Lady Senators team was Meghan Davis (33:28) in 21st, Kaylyn Noonan (34:01) in 22nd and Hayleigh Davis (36:52) in 23rd.  

Up Next: 

Walters State will be back in action next Friday afternoon when they take part in the Walters State Invite. The women's race is set for 5 p.m. with the men's following at 5:40 p.m.
