MORRISTOWN, TN – Walters State hosted the Walters State Invitational on Friday evening, finishing in second place on the men's side and third place on the women's side.
The men's team was led by Ryan Sadlon who continues his strong season with a fifth-place finish and a time of 33:07. On the women' side, Ashley Soto Perez was the top finisher with a ninth-place finish and a time of 25:22.
Other runners for Walters State on the men's side were Lucas Greineder (35:19) with a ninth-place finish, Kenneth Manning (35:45) in 11th place, Nicholas Noble (36:03) in 12th place, Alexander LeBlanc (37:35) and Gabriel Davis (38:00) in 15th place.
Tusculum won the men's race and had the top finisher in Ray Richardson with a time of 32:05.
On the women's side for Walters State, Lily Dodson followed close behind Perez with a 10th place finish and time of 25:39. Other finishers for Walters State were Amelia Weeks (26:04) in 11th place, Nadia Lopez (26:19) in 13th place, Emily Wright (29:16) in 15th place, Katlyn Noonan (32:56) in 18th place and Meghan Davis (35:36) in 19th place.
Tusculum won the women's race as well as Lilly Sims from Maryville College was the winner with a time of 22:38.
The men's race was an 8K while the women's race was a 5K.
