Senators, Lady Senators race at NJCAA DII Championship

RICHMOND, VA – Walters State's men's and women's cross-country teams took part in the NJCAA DII Championship on Saturday morning. 

 

On the women's side, Walters State came in 25th place. On the men's side, the Senators finished in 27th place. 

 

For the Lady Senators, Amelia Weeks led the charge with a 99th place finish and time of 21:52. Following behind weeks was Lily Dodson who finished in 120th with a time of 22:32. 

 

Other finishers for the Lady Senators were Nadia Lopez (23:48) in 158th, Emily Wright (24:55) in 176th, Katlyn Noonan (26:27) in 185th and Meghan Davis (28:14) in 191st.

 

For the men, Ryan Sadlon was the first Senators across the finish line in 149th place and a time of 30:11. Alexander LeBlanc was next to finish for Walters State in 173rd place and time of 31:08.

 

Other finishers for the men were Kenneth Manning (31:53) in 185th, Nicholas Noble (31:58) in 191st, Lucas Greineder (32:12) in 190th, Gabriel Davis (33:26) in 204th and Christopher Gaby (33:38) in 205th.

Walters State will close out their season on Tuesday in the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships. That race is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
