MONTREAT, NC – The Walters State volleyball team kept the momentum going on Thursday night, taking down Montreat College JV, 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19).
With the win, the Lady Senators move to 9-8 on the season. Walters State has now won three in-a-row and seven of their last eight matches.
The Lady Senators used Thursday night to get more reps for multiple players as they enter the latter part of the regular season. After falling in the first set, Walters State showed resilience to fight back and take the next three sets.
Blaylock approaches 100 career wins
With Thursday night's win, Walters State head coach Megan Blaylock achieved career win number 96. Blaylock is 96-46 overall as head coach of the Lady Senators.
Blaylock will be the first volleyball coach in Walters State history to eclipse 100 career wins.

Walters State will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to take on Chattanooga State in an important conference matchup. The match is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Walters State will be back at home next Thursday, hosting Cleveland State at 6:30 p.m.
