SHELBY, NC – Walters State's Julianne Dodson won her second race of the season on Saturday at the Yeti Invitational.
Dodson, who won the Walters State Opener earlier this season, ran a 19:49 on Saturday morning to beat out the second-place runner by 10 seconds.
On the men's side, the Senators finished in third place as a team with 72 points while Brando Resendiz came in second-place and Gideon Erwin finished in third place. Resnediz ran the 8K in 27:30 while Erwin was eight seconds behind at 27:38.
Rounding out the men's team was Juan Guillen in 22nd place with a time of 32:02, Wade Walters in 25th place with a time of 32:12, Ignacio Vargas Huipe with a time of 34:50 and Benjamin Eigenmann in 41st with a time of 37:11.
On the women's side for Walters State, Emma Hamilton finished behind Dodson in 14th with a time of 22:49 while Chloe Williford finished in 15th with a time of 23:00. Lani Helton also ran for the Lady Senators, finishing in 25th place with a time of 25:57. The women's race was a 5K.

Walters State will be back in action next Saturday at the Maryville Invitational. The women will run at 9 a.m. with the men to follow at 9:45 a.m.
