OAKVILLE, AL – Walters State ran at the Warhawk Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
As a team, the women finished in sixth-place while the men finished in 11th-place. The men ran an 8k, while the women ran a 5k.
Leading the way for the Lady Senators was Naomi Merrill in 26th-place with a time of 23:09. Taylor Starnes was close behind Merrill in 31st-place with a time of 23:42.
Rounding out the women's team were Ava Curry in 36th-place with a time of 24:26, McKayla Ruchala in 44th-place with a time of 24:52 and Cindy de Leon in 49th-place with a time of 25:22.
On the men's side, Gideon Erwin had a top-20 finish. Erwin came in 18th-place with a time of 27:40.
Along with Erwin, Juan Guillen finished in 44th-place with a time of 29:25 while Sam Runyan came in 70th-place with a time of 31:11.
Rounding out the men were Edgar Martinez in 75th-place with a time of 31:48, Wade Walters in 79th-place with a time of 32:05, Ignacio Vargas Huipe in 95th-place with a time of 33:48, Parker Minor in 102nd with a time of 35:09, Benjamin Eigenmann in 109th with a time of 36:53 and Walter Kredzik in 110th with a time of 36:54.
