MORRISTOWN, TN – Walters State's Brando Resendiz finished in fourth place on Saturday morning at the Senators Invitational.

The Senators finished in third place on Saturday with 64 points. On the women's side, the Lady Senators  finished in third place with 67 points.

The race was a 5K for the women and an 8K for the men.

On the men's side, Resendiz finished in fourth place with a time of 29:32 for the Senators. Sam Hall was the next finisher for Walters State with a 12^th place finish at 32:40.

The winner on the men's side was Scott Greeves of the Tennessee Running Club in 28:08.

Other finishers on the men's side for Walters State were Lucas Greineder (35:04) in 18^th place, Jessie Ramos (35:54) in 19^th place, Alexander LeBlanc (36:04) in 20^th place and Caden Chambers (40:20) in 24^th place.

For the women's side, Emma Hamilton finished first for Walters State in 11^th place at 23:20. Amelia Weeks was behind her in 12^th place with a 23:21 performance.

Other finshers for the Lady Senators were Julianne Dodson (23:41) in 13^th place, Molly Wright (24:43) in 17^th place and Emily Wright (26:34 ) in 21^st place,

The winner in the women's race was Trinny Duncan from the Tennessee Running Club in 19:53.

 Up Next:

Walters State will be back in action next week on Sept. 16 at the Tusculum Invitational. The women's race begins at 6 p.m. with the men's race at 6:40 p.m.
