HUNTSVILLE, AL – Walters State's Julianne Dodson finished her season in style on Tuesday morning, finishing 24th at the NJCAA DII Half Marathon National Championship.
Dodson was in 47th through the first 3.16M but continued to climb all the way through the race, finishing with a time of 1:34:02.
On the men's side, Brando Resendiz was the top finisher in 69th place with a time of 1:18:21. Other finishers for the men included Wade Walters in 141st with a time of 1:32:22, Juan Guillen in 142nd with a time of 1:32:28, Ignacio Vargas Huipe in 152nd with a time of 1:40:06, Benjamin Eigenmann in 153rd with a time of 1:41:34 and Jessie Ramos in 155th place with a time of 1:43:09. Eigenmann's time on Tuesday was 13 minutes better than earlier this season at the Walters State Half Marathon.
The Senators finished in 20th place as a team.
Along with Dodson on the women's side, Chloe Williford finished in 82nd place with a time of 1:53:13. Other runners for the Lady Senators included Lani Helton in 106th with a time of 2:09:02 and Emma Hamilton in 107th with a time of 2:09:52.
The Lady Senators finished in 16th place as a team.
