MORRISTOWN, TN – The Walters State cross country team hosted their half marathon on Friday evening, with the men coming in first and women finishing in second.
The men were led by Juan Guillen, who finished in second-place with a time of 1:28:29. Finishing in fourth-place was Edgar Martinez, who ran the half marathon in 1:38:34.
Walter Kledzik was the next finisher for the Senators, coming in seventh-place with a time of 1:48:59. Right behind Kledzik was Parker Minor in eighth-place with a time of 1:51:17. Benjamin Eigenmann was the final finisher for the Senators, coming in 10th-place with a time of 1:56:10.
On the women's side, Naomi Merrill was the top finisher, 11th-place overall and the third female, with a time of 1:59:26. Taylor Starnes was behind her in 12th-place, the fourth female to finish, with a time of 2:02:03.
Cindy de Leon was next for the Lady Senators in 13th-place, the fifth female, with a time of 2:02:17. McKayla Ruchala was the final finisher for the Lady Senators, in 14th-place and the sixth female, with a time of 2:09:58.

Walters State will be back in action next Thursday in the Warhawk Invitational in Oakville, AL. The women will run at 4:30 p.m., with the men to follow at 5 p.m.
