Moore hits seven 3-pointers in No. 25 Walters State’s 109-81 win over Dyersburg State

DYERSBURG, TN – Walters State scored triple-digits for the third straight game on Saturday evening, taking a 109-81 road win over Dyersburg State. 

 

With the win, Walters State improved to 18-1 overall and 9-1 in TCCAA play.

 

The Senators are now averaging over 97 points per game and have scored triple-digits nine times this season.


Greg Moore led the way for Walters State with 27 points, knocking down seven of his 11 3-point attempts. Moore had seven rebounds, as well. 

 

Along with Moore, Micah Simpson had 23 points and three steals, Ramondo Battle had 14 points, Jaylen Wharton had 10 points and seven rebounds and JR Jacobs had seven points and eight assists. 

 

It was a nice start for Walters State in the game, building a 47-39 lead at the half. The Senators continued their offensive production in the final 20 minutes, scoring 62 more points for the convincing win.

Walters State will be back in action on Wednesday, traveling to play Cleveland State. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
