LENOIR CITY, TN – Walters State concluded the Tennessee River Rumble on Tuesday, their final tournament before the NJCAA District J Tournament.
The Senators shot a final round 312 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at 64-over. Young Harris won the tournament at 29-under.
The Senators were led in the final round by Hunter Hartman, who shot a 76. Hartman finished at 15-over, good enough for 77th place where he tied with Chad Homan who shot a 79 in the final round.
The highest finisher in the tournament for Walters State was Nate Vaughan. Vaughan shot a 78 on Tuesday and finished the tournament in 47th place, shooting a 7-over.
Rounding out the scoring was Zach Wood who shot a 79 in the final round to finish at 35-over and Justin Cowden who shot an 88 and finished the tournament at 36-over.
Wingate's Charles Joubert and Young Harris' Peter Chung finished in a tie for first to win the tournament at 11-under.

Walters State will be back in action on Monday, April 12, for the first round of the NJCAA District J Golf Tournament. The tournament will be played at the Village Greens Golf Club in Grambling, South Carolina.
