Senators finish in ninth-place at Battle at Barnsley

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Walters State closed out the Battle at Barnsley on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in ninth-place.

 

As a team, the Senators shot 96-over for the three rounds. The Senators' third round score on Tuesday was a 312, improving on their second round score by nine shots. 

 

Nick Talley led the way for Walters State, finishing the tournament in a tie for ninth-place at 10-over. Talley shot a four-over, 76, on Tuesday with birdies on holes two and 16. 

 

Along with Talley, Ian Kinsey finished in a tie for 42nd-place at 27-over. Talley shot a nine-over, 81, in round three and had birdies on holes five, 12 and 17. 

 

Other golfers for Walters State were Sloan Brooks (T47), Bowen Brantley (T49) and Jonas Rayfield (T64). Brooks shot a five-over, 77, in his final round with a birdie on the hole eight. Brooks finished the tournament at 27-over. 

 

Meanwhile, Brantley shot a six-over, 78, on Tuesday with birdies on holes eight and 13. He finished the tournament at 31-over.

 

Lastly, Rayfield finished the tournament with a nine-over, 81, in his third round. Rayfield had birdies on holes one and 12 and finished the tournament at 46-over.
