GREENEVILLE, TN – Walters State wrapped up their first golf tournament of the fall season on Tuesday, coming in sixth place at the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate at Link Hills CC. 

The Senators finished the tournament at 34-over after shooting a 296 in the final round on Tuesday. Tusculum won the tournament at 19-under. 

Ian Kinsey was the top finisher for Walters State in the tournament at two-over. Kinsey shot a 75 (four-over) on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 10th. 

Finishing close behind Kinsey was Nick Talley (T-16th) and Blake Woody (T-21st). Talley shot a 75 (four-over) on Tuesday to finish at six-over, while Woody shot a 74 (three-over) to finish at nine-over. 

Other golfers for Walters State included Ashton Pratt (T-37th), Bowen Brantley (T-44th) and Jack Leach (T-54th). Pratt finished the tournament at 17-over after a 75 (four-over) on Tuesday, Brantley finished at 20-over after a 72 (one-over) and Leach finished at 32-over after an 84 (13-over). 

Up Next:

Walters State will be back in action on Monday as they host the Walters State Fall Classic at The Country Club. The tournament will be a two-day event.
