
COHUTTA, GA – Walters State took part in the first round of the ALC Eagle Invitational on Monday afternoon, sitting in sixth place at 9-over (297).
Cleveland State leads the tournament at one-over.
Jeremy Ellis was the low-man for Walters State, shooting a 1-over (73). Ellis birdied holes six, seven, nine, 10, 14 and 15. Ellis is in a tie for eighth place.
Along with Ellis, Ashton Pratt and JT McKenzie are in a tie for 12th after both shooting a 2-over, 74. Pratt birdied holes one and two while McKenzie birdied holes three and 13.
Rounding out the team for the Senators were Sawyer Spoone (4-over, 76) and Connor Price (7-over, 79). Spoone is in a tie for 30th after birdieing holes three, seven and 14. Price is in a tie for 40th after birdieing holes one, four and eight.
Cleveland State's Cain Stover is in first place after shooting 3-under.
