Senators in sixth after first day of Bob Dibble Intercollegiate

GREENEVILLE, TN – The fall golf season got underway on Monday for Walters State with the Senators sitting in sixth place after the first two rounds of the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate at Link Hills CC. 

 

As a team, Walters State shot a 297 in round one and a 293 in round two for a team score of 22-over. Tusculum is in first place at 12-under. 

 

Ian Kinsey led the way for the Senators on Monday, sitting in tie for sixth place at two-under. Kinsey shot a 69 (two-under) in round one and a 71 (even-par) in round two. 

 

Along with Kinsey, Nick Talley (14th) and Blake Woody (T-20th) are in the top half after the first two rounds. Talley is at two-over after a 73 (two-over) in round one and a 71 (even-par) in round two. Meanwhile, Woody is at six-over after a 74 (three-over) in both rounds. 

 

Other golfers for the Senators included Ashton Pratt (T-42nd), Bowen Brantley (T-49th) and Jack Leach (T-49th). Pratt is 13-over after an 80 (nine-over) in round one and a 75 (four-over) in round two. Brantley and Leach are both at 19-over as Brantley shot an 81 (10-over) in round one and an 80 (nine-over) in round two, and Leach shot an 84 (13-over) in round one and a 77 (six-over) in round two.

Walters State will be back in action on Tuesday for one final round at the Bob Dibble Intercollegiate at Link Hills CC.
