Oxendine named NJCAA D-II Second Team All-American

MORRISTOWN, TN – Walters State's Olivia Oxendine became the first Lady Senator in school history to be named an All-American on Wednesday afternoon as she was named to the NJCAA Second Team All-American team.  

The nomination caps off an unbelievable season for Oxendine. Earlier this season, Oxendine was named the Region VII Player of the Year for the second year in-a-row after a season that saw her total 172 kills, averaging 2.87 kills per set.  

Oxendine finished the year with a .405 hitting percentage and averaged a block per set. Oxendine scored 228 points on the season as well. 

This season, Oxendine helped lead Walters State to the NJCAA DII Volleyball Tournament for the first time in program history. The Lady Senators ended the season with an 18-3 record and were a perfect 12-0 in conference play. Walters State never lost a set at home all season.
