Lady Senators split first two matches at Wallace State Fall Bash

HANCEVILLE, AL – Walters State split their first two matches at the Wallace State Fall Bash on Friday. The Lady Senators won a 3-2 match over Lurleen B. Wallace in their opening match before falling 3-1 to Coastal Alabama-South. 

 

With the split, the Lady Senators move to 11-6 on the season.

 

In the win over Lurleen B. Wallace, Maddie Rockrohr had a phenomenal match with 20 digs and 17 kills while Jaci Drinnon had 38 digs. Other contributors included Mattie Davis with 10 kills and three blocks, Alyssa Campbell with nine kills and six blocks and Olivia Brown with 25 assists. 

 

Against Coastal Alabama, Davis had another strong match with 14 kills and two blocks. Other contributors were Campbell with 14 kills and four blocks, Lauren Mims with 12 kills and 20 digs and Drinnon with 29 digs. The Lady Senators had six aces.

Walters State will be back in action on Saturday for two more matches at the Wallace State Fall Bash. The Lady Senators will play Snead State at 10 a.m. and Gadsden State at 2 p.m.
