SPARTANBURG, SC – Walters State closed out their time at the Spartanburg Methodist Invitational on Saturday, falling to Indian River State 3-0 (17-25, 22-25, 15-25) before topping Spartanburg Methodist 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-21).
With the split, Walters State moved to 7-4 on the season.
In the loss to Indian River State, Mattie Davis had eight kills and three blocks while Lauren Mims had eight kills and 10 digs. Jaci Drinnon had 15 digs.
Against Spartanburg Methodist, Davis had 12 kills while Maddie Rockrohr had 12 kills and eight digs. Drinnon had 22 digs and three aces, and Alyssa Campbell had seven kills and six blocks. Olivia Brown had 20 assists.
Up Next:
Walters State will be back in action on Wednesday at Cumberland University JV. Time is yet to be determined.
