DAYTON, TN – Walters State won their second match in as many days on Wednesday evening, sweeping Bryan College JV 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 26-24). 

 

With the win, Walters State improves to 4-1 on the season. 

 

The match was the fourth sweep of the season for the Lady Senators. 

 

It was the usual suspects leading the way for Walters State in the match as Maddie Rockrohr and Mackenzie Sweigart each had six kills. Bella Webb had five aces and 15 assists while Faith Heskett led the team with 15 digs. 

 

Rockrohr is now second on the team with 29 kills while Sweigart is third with 18 kills. Webb now has 17 aces and 68 assists to lead the team while Heskett has 61 digs to lead the team.

Walters State will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 13, as the Lady Senators take on No. 20 Chattanooga State in Walters State's home opener. The match is set for 6:30 p.m. 

 

Last season, Walters State was a perfect 4-0 against the Lady Tigers.
