
CLEVELAND, TN – Walters State put together a dominant first set on Thursday evening against Cleveland State and were off from there, sweeping the Lady Cougars 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-17).
With the win, the Lady Senators improved to 15-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Jaci Drinnon led the way for the Lady Senators in the win as she had her normal plethora of digs, 23, to go along with 15 assists. Other contributors included Mattie Davis with 10 kills and two blocks, Catherine Sweeney with seven kills and three blocks, Sydney Bjornstad with 14 digs and two aces and Allison Singleton with 15 assists.
Up Next:
Walters State will be back in action in conference play next Thursday as they travel to Pellissippi State. That match will be at their Hardin Valley campus and is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
