JOPLIN, MO – Nick Talley continued his strong play in the NJCAA DII Golf Tournament on Thursday, sitting in a tie for seventh-place after the third round at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.
Talley shot a two-over (74) on the day, with birdies on the 14th and 16th holes, and is at four-over for the tournament.
As a team, Walters State is in a tie for 13th-place at 66-over. Walters State shot a 26-over in Thursday's third round.
Along with Talley, Sloan Brooks shot a six-over (78) on Thursday to put him at 19-over for the tournament. Brooks birdied holes 14 and 18 in his third round and is in a tie for 65th-place.
Bowen Brantley sits inside the top-50 for the Senators, after shooting a nine-over (81) on Thursday. Brantley is 15-over for the tournament and in a tie for 45th-place.
Rounding out the team were Ian Kinsey (91st) and Jack Leach (T95). Kinsey shot nine-over (81) on Thursday with a birdie on hole six and is at 28-over for the tournament. Meanwhile, Jack Leach shot a 14-over (86) on Thursday and is at 35-over for the tournament.

Walters State will be back in action for their final round of the season on Friday at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club. The Senators will tee off beginning at 7:45 a.m. CT.
