
BRISTOL, TN – Walters State closed out their fall season with a third-place finish in the New People's Bank Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Bristol on Tuesday.
The Senators shot 29-over to finish behind USC Sumter and Roane State.
Leading the way for Walters State was Bowen Brantley and Nick Talley in a tie for eighth at four-over. Brantley shot a five-over, 76, on Tuesday with a birdie on holes eight and nine. Talley shot four-over, 75, on Tuesday with a birdie on the 14th hole.
Ian Kinsey was next for Walters State at seven-over in 13th-place. Kinsey shot four-over, 75, in his second round with a birdie on holes two and 17.
Rounding out the team were Sloan Brooks at 14-over in 30th-place and Blake Dawson at 21-over in 44th-place. Dawson and Brooks both shot 78 on the day.
Playing as an individual was Blake Woody, and he finished at three-over. Woody shot three-over on Tuesday, with birdies on holes nine, 13 and 14.
