
SCOTTSBORO, AL – Walters State participated in the final round of the Ron Marshall Spring Fling at Goose Pond Colony on Tuesday.
The Senators had four individuals compete in the final round after a withdrawal and disqualification and were not eligible for a team score.
Leading the way for Walters State was Nick Talley with a tie for 12th-place finish at 14-over. In the final round, Talley shot a 9-over, 81, with a birdie on the seventh hole.
Next up for the Senators was Jonas Rayfield in a tie for 23rd-place at 18-over. Rayfield shot an 8-over, 80, in his final round with a birdie on the seventh hole and an eagle on the 15th hole.
The third finisher for Walters State in the tournament was Ian Kinsey in 31st-place at 22-over. Kinsey shot a 7-over, 79, in his round on Tuesday with a birdie on the second and 18th holes.
Rounding out the Senators was Sloan Brooks, finishing in a tie for 40th at 26-over. Brooks shot an 85 on Tuesday with a birdie on the sixth hole.

The Senators are back in action March 17-18 in Knoxville, TN at the Brad Rose Collegiate. The tournament will be held at Willow Creek Golf Club.
