Delong named TCCAA Softball Player of the Week for second time

MORRISTOWN, TN – For the second time this season, Randi Delong has been named the TCCAA Softball Player of the Week.

The freshman from Martin, KY played in all seven games for Walters State last week, hitting .428 with three home runs, 14 RBIs, a double and a triple. Delong's biggest game of the week came against Pearl River where she smacked a grand slam and drove in five runs.

For the season, Delong is hitting .436 with eight home runs and 31 RBIs. Delong leads the conference in RBIs and is tied for first in home runs. Delong is also fourth in the country in home runs.

Delong and the Lady Senators are back in action Tuesday, on the road against Gaston College. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 pm ET.
