Johnson perfect at the plate as No. 5 Walters State sweeps Southwest Tennessee

MORRISTOWN, TN – No. 5 Walters State used a complete, team-effort on Friday afternoon to finish off a four-game sweep of Southwest Tennessee. The Lady Senators won game one by a 10-0 score and took an 11-3 win in game two.

With the sweep, the Lady Senators improved to 27-3 overall and 17-1 in TCCAA play.

"Two more good wins today," Walters State coach Larry Sauceman said. "We came out and did what we had to do. We played really good defense behind our pitchers, and our pitchers did a good job, as well. Offense was solid too. Overall, a good day for us."

Jules Johnson led the charge for the Lady Senators in the doubleheader. Johnson finished the day with six hits, two home runs and drove in seven runs. The only out that she recorded all day was a sacrifice fly in game one that scored a run.
