Alayna Ross named TCCAA Softball Player of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Alayna Ross was named the TCCAA Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday following an impressive week at the plate.

Playing in six games on the week, Ross hit .666 and smacked five home runs to go with 15 RBIs. Ross hit a home run in five of the six games and drove in four runs in game two against Gaston and in game one against Jackson State.

Ross' week was highlighted by a walk off home run in the ninth-inning against Columbia State that gave the Lady Senators the win.

For the season, Ross is hitting .500 with 15 home runs and 43 RBIs. Ross is first in the conference in batting average and home runs and is second in the country in home runs.

Ross and the Lady Senators are back in action on Wednesday, hosting No. 18 Chattanooga State at 1 and 3 pm ET.
